E-Commerce turnover in Italy continues to grow, reaching almost 76 billion euros in 2022, with an increase of 19% compared to the previous year. For the first time in the last seventeen years, however, the increase in turnover seems to be linked more to the increase in prices, due to inflation and the cost of living, rather than to the absolute number of sales. Among the other categories of products purchased online, we find shopping centres, which cover around a fifth of the total turnover, and tourism, which covers around 13% of the total turnover from online sales.
